I recently found out about a store run by Habitat for Humanity called ReStore. They sell donated items that are home improvement related. You can find everything there- appliances, doors, windows, flooring, building materials, etc. All the profits go to Habitat for Humanity. And from what I heard, their prices are incredibly low!
For those of you in Ventura County, CA, the closest one to us is in Oxnard.
