Get a Free Gift Card With Your Prescription

I love finding deals for prescriptions. I have a monthly prescription I take, and I always refill my prescription at a different location. The reason I do this is because all the dug stores, grocery stores, and pharmacies offer deals for getting a free store gift card with any new or transferred prescription. I always look for these coupons and hold onto them in case I need them. Even if you are not on a monthly prescription, there is always a chance you may get sick and need to unexpectedly see a doctor and get a prescription. So start saving these coupons. I usually find these coupons in store ads or coupon books located in the stores. They are usually worth about $20-$25 at CVS, Walgreens, and Rite Aid.

This week, there was a coupon in Target's weekly ad for a free $10 gift card with any new or transferred prescription. I found a coupon in the coupon book shown below at Albertson's for receiving a free $25 Albertson's gift card with any new or transferred prescription at their pharmacy.

So as long as you keep transferring it to different store that offers the coupons, you can keep getting all those free gift cards to go toward your next prescription purchase or towards your grocery or drug store purchase. So if you are getting a prescription anyway, make sure you get a free gift card with it! It sure makes the cost of buying medications sting a little less. The cool thing is that even if your insurance covers the prescription 100%, they will still give you a gift card with most of these offers. So they are paying you each time you get a prescription.

Another secret is that if you get a 60 or 90 day supply of pills for example, you can request that they split them into smaller sets such as 30 day quantities. That way you are refilling your prescriptions more often, but you get a free gift card every time you refill it.

I hope you enjoyed this quick tip!
